Yunlin Ocean Festival
We hosted the 2024 Yunlin Ocean Festival – Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm Community Appreciation Day at Sihu Township in Yunlin County, attracting hundreds of local visitors, who enjoyed interactive marine ecology games and an exhibition. We will continue to promote tourism in Yunlin County as a sign of appreciation for the support of the local communities and residents.
We are dedicated to promote tourism in the coastal villages of Yunlin County by supporting related events and creating tourist attractions. On September 8th 2024, in collaboration with the National Taiwan Ocean University, we hosted the "2024 Yunlin Ocean Festival – Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm Community Appreciation Day" at Sihu Township in Yunlin County. The event aimed to highlight our appreciation to the local communities and residents for their support during the construction and operation of the Yunlin OWF. The festival attracted hundreds of locals and numerous project team members, featuring a variety of activities such as pomelo painting, interactive marine ecology games and an exhibition. This vibrant event showcased art, green energy, and environmental awareness. The event brought together over 20 local groups to highlight the significance of the "Ocean Festival".
On September 7th 2024, we partnered with the Yunlin Fishery Association to host another "Ocean Clean-up Initiative", where fishermen collected marine debris such as plastic bottles, driftwood, and other floating waste. These materials were then transformed into artworks and used in educational games during the "2024 Yunlin Ocean Festival – Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm Community Appreciation Day" to educate children about the sources of marine waste. Additionally, the National Taiwan Ocean University, one of our long-time partners and supporter of coastal area development in Taiwan, organized eight marine ecological games. The event also featured a variety of local vendors, offering visitors a delightful range of culinary experiences.
