The endangered Black-faced Spoonbill is being monitored by a conservation program co-developed with ecological experts. The program has already significantly improved our knowledge about the Black-faced Spoonbill and we remain committed to support this program going forward.

During the construction and operation phase of the Yunlin OWF, all associated marine vessels maintain a safe distance from key habitats of the protected Taiwanese White Dolphin and other marine mammals, as designated by the government.

During the development of the Yunlin OWF, the Environmental Impact Assessment was undertaken from 2017 to 2018, which led to the establishment of an Environmental Monitoring Plan. This plan was applied during the pre-construction and construction phases and is also applied during the operational phase.

During the operation phase of the Yunlin OWF, a dedicated portion of the generated revenue will be used to fund welfare and development initiatives, with a focus to support local communities and associations.

The Yunlin Ocean Festival features interactive games and an exhibition, creating a vibrant showcase of green energy and environmental awareness.

During the construction phase of the Yunlin OWF, the Yunlin Fishery Association has provided patrol boat services to mitigate the impact of the construction activities on local fishing activities. This service is continued on an as-and-when required also during the operation phase.
